Florida - Day 15

Hollywood Studios:

What a great park. It's so much smaller than Magic Kingdom, so navigating is so much easier and less tiring. Plus, it was cloudy for much of the day, so the temperatures were comfortable. We loved the thrill rides Rockin' Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror, and the shows were great too. The highlight was eating at the Prime Time Cafe where you are thrown back in time to the 50's. You wait for your table in the living room, then mom comes and calls you for dinner and scolds you if you have your elbows on the table. There's meatloaf on the menu and the Dick Van Dyck show on the black and white TV's. It's very fun and we all had a blast, plus the food was great.

Kaija thought it was very cool to see a bunch of original costumes from Enchanted and Prince Caspian, and also Walt Disney's original sketch book. After seeing the film about him and his humble beginnings as an animator, she said how she was going to get back into drawing more. Cool.

Rockin Roller Coaster: 0-60 in seconds as you can tell by the direction of my hair. They blast Aerosmith from a speaker directly behind your head the whole time, and the coaster is entirely in the dark. It's incredible.
Waiting for our table in the "living room."

Our table at the 50's Prime Time Cafe. Note the decor. It was hilarious to see all kinds of things that we remembered from our grand parent's houses. Why did they like poodles so much in the 50's.

One of Walt Disney's original sketch books.

Apparently they actually use this street in movie scenes sometimes. I don't know if that's true, but it was fun to pretend that it was true.
