Florida - Day 17

Animal Kingdom:

Either we were getting tired from too much Disney, or it was hotter than usual, or maybe this just isn’t the best theme park, but this was probably our least favourite park so far. However, having said that, the shows were definitely the highlight of this park. The Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo: The Musical were inspiring and amazing. It’s Tough to be a Bug, a 4D film, was also fantastic. You go right inside the Tree of Life to see it. The Mount Everest roller coaster was also great. It’s the only roller coaster we’ve been on that goes backward for a stretch.  All in all Animal Kingdom was OK, but we don’t need to go back.

Kilamonjaro Safari

We're always so thankful for Disney's plentiful water fountains, and they're always part of the theme.

I don't know what he was going to do with that, but he was on a mission.

The "rainforest."

The Tree of Life. Ironically, it's not alive, but it is beautiful.

Finding Nemo: The Musical   It's hard to see, but all the characters are life-sized puppets. The puppets, sets and singing were incredible. They ended the show by filling the theatre with bubbles, and I thought Aria was going to tumble down the aisle trying to catch them.
Festival of the Lion King - a great show that combined gymnastics, singing and dancing. These shows always make me cry, much to the embarrassment of my children.
